Firstsource Solutions took over its competitor, Florida-based PatientMatters for $13 million. This expands the Indian outsourcing firm’s access to more potential clients in the US healthcare industry. PatientMatters earns mostly from serving as a back-office for hospitals and clinics. After the deal is finalized, PatientMatters’ InteliPass (a patient engagement software) will be merged into Firstsource platforms. Aside from providing technology solutions to hospitals, PatientMatters also offers training services to hospital staff on how to interact with patients.
