The 5th meeting of the United States-Nepal Council on Trade and Investment held virtually on December 15, 2020 focused on promoting expanded bilateral trade and investment between the two nations in both goods and services. The discussion among the representatives tackled bilateral trade and investment-related issues under the United States-Nepal Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA), including customs & trade facilitation, intellectual property, digital trade & e-commerce, labor, financial services, investment promotion, agriculture products trade, and the Nepal Trade Preference Program.
